Because of its interactive character about this topic sometimes difficult to apprehend a site deemed very useful (Otterbein) and the concepts (IUCr wiki).

Sep 16, 2015 at 0:57 | comment | added | pH13 - Yet another Philipp | For me, the online courses are a special subset of websites that are explicitly for teaching conceptual stuff and not only for giving some information. E.g., the mentioned Goldbook and the Webbook both give information from which you can learn, but they are not teaching like what you'd expect from a school lesson. And then there are sites like Khan Acadamy on youtube, which besides other subjects is about teaching chemistry and should be classified as an online course. But I guess you are right, when saying it can be quite fuzzy. (Please ask about such things in the meta thread next time.)
Sep 15, 2015 at 21:54 | comment | added | chipbuster | Is there a clean difference between an online course a website, or is it somewhat fuzzy?
