# Why is telluric acid dibasic?

$\ce{Te(OH)6}$ has an octahedral geometry with $6$ $\ce{-OH}$ groups.

Is it a protonic acid (like $\ce{HCl}$) or a Lewis acid [like $\ce{B(OH)3}$]?

What makes $\ce{Te(OH)6}$ dibasic?
