$\begingroup$ This question is similar to: What is the solubility order of isomeric alcohols in water?. If you believe it’s different, please edit the question, make it clear how it’s different and/or how the answers on that question are not helpful for your problem. $\endgroup$

$\begingroup$ the reason is closely related to why t-butanol has boiling point lower than n-butanol by about 35 deg C . $\endgroup$

  • $\begingroup$ Or why n-amylalcohol shaken with water forms quite stable emulsion, while i-amylalcohol does not (I once tried to substitute the latter by the former in extraction). $\endgroup$
