I have a question that between --OH and --OR [example:- OCH3], which has more -I effect. My Sir told me that --OH would have more -I Effect than --OR because of electron donating nature of R [Alkyl groups], but when I looked for the same question on internet, it showed that --OR had more -I effect.
Can anybody explain which one is true and why?
