I make/sell mosaic mirrors. I'd like to use Laticrete's Spectralock 1 grout but I don't know if it will desilver the mirror's edges over time. I contacted both Laticrete and the mirror manufacturer to no avail. Can anyone help?

    $\begingroup$ If you're concerned about that material attacking the aluminum mirror, coat the mirror back and edges with a clear lacquer. $\endgroup$

  • $\begingroup$ The mirror has a silver coating, not aluminum. Because this is a mosaic, there are many edges. Unfortunately, coating all edges is not practical. $\endgroup$
