I make/sell mosaic mirrors. I'd like to use Laticrete's Spectralock 1 grout but I don't know if it will desilver the mirror's edges over time. I contacted both Laticrete and the mirror manufacturer to no avail. Can anyone help?

  • $\begingroup$ The mirror has a silver coating, not aluminum. Because this is a mosaic, there are many edges. Unfortunately, coating all edges is not practical. $\endgroup$

  • $\begingroup$ @DrMoishePippik Yeah, by open discussion. A Q&A site has no place for discussion: there is no no room for a back-and-forth chit-chat. Read Meta carefully or take another site Tour which literally says exactly that. $\endgroup$

  • $\begingroup$ Somehow, I doubt any mirrors are made with silver these days, which quickly tarnishes in air. Perhaps this is not the correct site for this question. $\endgroup$ Jun 23 at 16:08
