We have found the electronic configuration of d block elements. As we move from left to right in the periodic table the energy of the 3d subshell is decreased and it becomes smaller than the energy of the 4s subshell.

However what makes me question it is that we have done all these experiments at room temperature.Maybe if we ultracold a d-block elements will it change somehow because there won't be any energy left for excitations of the electrons?Or have we performed the experiment in ultracold environments?
