While testing materials for their ORR performance, one can encounter linear sweep voltammograms that have a well defined diffusion plateau and a good sigmoidal shape. On the other hand, the opposite can also be encountered, a curve without a well defined sigmoidal shape or plateau. I was wondering, what is the significance of this shape, how does that relate to the ORR electrocatalytic activity of the material ?
