# What is the binding speed of coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles to microparticles diffused in water?

Does someone know how to determine the binding speed of $$\ce{Fe3O4}$$ nanoparticles coated with the alkyl chain of hexadecyltrimethoxysilane to microparticles in water? I know that a precise answer is difficult, but does someone know at least an estimate of the time needed for the nanoparticles to bind?

• Can you try time-resolved light scattering? Observing OD in the 600+ nm range in a conventional spectrophotometer or fluorimeter could do the job. – imalipusram May 23 at 4:38
