So I mean are some of the molecules lost(fall of) while we tear the paper? Or all the molecules present in the sheet of paper just get divided in the two new pieces created?

$\begingroup$ This is less important than you seem to think. Some molecules fall off even when we don't to anything to that piece of paper. $\endgroup$ – Ivan Neretin May 16 '19 at 9:08
