that the $OC_1 C_{10}-PPV$ molecule(in$\ce{OC1C10}\text{-PPV}$ molecule has the picture) had these chains added to the O-atomoxygen atom down below because it allowedallows for solubility and processibility.:

poly(2-methoxy-5-(3,7-dimethyloctoxy)-p-phenylene-vinylene)
