I currently work for a software company that develops tools to simulate different processes in chemical engineering. I have professionally worked with Actor, C/C++, Fortran, x86 Assembly, and Ruby. This is not including what I consider to be markup or scripting languages. Neither does that include languages I have used for side projects or learning.
I love all things software related, but I get the most satisfaction from scientific programming. For me, programming is about half of what I do. The other half is researching and designing methods to simulate physical processes.
